5 Northside Restaurants you should check out

Beautiful and breezy, Northside is known for its gorgeous views and stunning beaches, making it a real hotspot for visitors to St. Thomas. Depending on where you go, you’ll overlook the world famous Magens Bay and various offshore islands that sit like jewels in the sea. It is also home to plenty of fantastic restaurants – perfect for grabbing a bite to eat while enjoying those unparalleled vistas.

Old Stone Farmhouse

This award winning restaurant is a lovely place to go for a one of a kind fine dining experience. Located inside of a renovated plantation field house, the atmosphere is understated with a touch of rustic romance. The food is standard haute cuisine, making use of high-quality ingredients and chef’s creativity. The current menu features duck, chicken, a succulent rib-eye, and much more. St. Thomas has lots to offer when it comes to food, but truly Old Stone Farmhouse stands out as one of the best fine dining experiences on the island.

Thirteen Restaurant and Bar

New American cuisine with pizzas to round out the menu, Thirteen has been a fixture on the Northside for years. Recently under new management, it still serves tasty food in an elegant yet casual setting. The views from Thirteen are some of the best you’ll find in Northside. Wondering what to order while taking in a sunset? The mussels are excellent, as is the ceviche. People love their cocktails as well. Their bar is a good place to stop in and have a light bite as well.

Sib’s on the Mountain

Looking for something more casual where you can kick back and relax? Sib’s on the Mountain is perfect for you. An American-style pub and sports bar with excellent service, the friendly atmosphere and memorable food make Sib’s somewhere you need to add to your list of places to eat while on St. Thomas – especially if you’re looking to go somewhere a little off the beaten path. Ribs, chicken, burgers, and beer if you’re a fan of straight up delicious, no frills cooking, eat at Sib’s. Just don’t try to walk up that mountain!

Hull Bay Hideaway

As its name suggests, Hull Bay Hideaway is a bit tucked away but it’s well-worth taking the time to seek it out! With an authentic island feel, awesome live music, and of course, some seriously scrumptious food, locals love it and visitors make it a point to come back every time they’re in town. Tacos are incredibly popular here as are the excellent cocktails. It’s an open air establishment which means on those sultry nights you can drop in, chill out, and get your drink on.

The Blue Orchid

Like Caribbean fusion cuisine? Then The Blue Orchid is the place for you. It’s tasteful interior blends seamlessly with the historic building, making this a wonderful experience…especially once you look out at the view! The Blue Orchid sits over 1200 ft above Magens Bay. As far as food goes, Blue Orchid is home to some superb eats. Crab cakes, trio of tuna, New Zealand rack of lamb and stuffed lobster tail…no matter what you order you can’t possibly go wrong! Our advice? Check it out for dinner but be sure to go back for Sunday brunch.
